VOLUNTEER WITH US

Help us ensure comfort and dignity for our patients and peace of mind for their families.

Support Your Community in their End of Life Journey

Alta Vita Hospice is looking for caring and compassionate people who want to make a difference in the end-of-life experience for people in their community. We are looking for volunteers in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.

Volunteering in hospice offers the gift of compassion and support to patients and their families in a key moment in their lives. Volunteers working hand in hand with our team play an essential role in our mission to provide the best care possible to our program participants.

Hospice care in the United States was founded on the compassion and dedication of volunteers, and that spirit of service continues today. In fact, Medicare regulations require hospice programs to include trained volunteers as part of the care team. Each year, more than 400,000 trained volunteers contribute over 19 million hours of service, providing vital support to patients, families, and hospice staff across the country.
